Frances Chai

Frances graduated from the University of California, Berkeley where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Asian American and Asian Diaspora Studies, with a minor in public policy and concentration in Asian American community health. Her academic background has driven her to get involved with organizations and initiatives in the social impact sphere, particularly in regards to building relationships with marginalized communities and centering them in the conversation to best achieve equity. Previously, she interned with the National Alliance on Mental Illness and the California Department of Public Health where she connected community members with behavioral health resources and conducted research on systems-wide trauma informed practices in the workplace. Frances is passionate about working to address the Social Determinants of Health, including transportation access, and is excited to make a positive impact on Bay Area communities with the Winter team.
