San Mateo Complete Streets Plan

The San Mateo Complete Streets Plan is a comprehensive transportation initiative designed to create a safer, more accessible street network for all users—pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers alike. With a focus on livability and equity, the plan integrates a variety of design elements, such as bike lanes, sidewalks, and enhanced transit infrastructure. The goals of the plan include improving safety for all users, reducing traffic congestion, and fostering economic development within the community. 

Winter led the engagement efforts for the plan using a multifaceted approach to gather input from key stakeholders and community members. This robust engagement process included ten stakeholder interviews, four walk, bike and transit tours, six public workshops, four pop-up events, and an interactive online platform. Through this comprehensive outreach, Winter ensured the Complete Streets Plan accurately reflects the diverse needs and priorities of the San Mateo community.
